CANCELLED: Life in ‘Lockdown’: Echoes of Knockaloe 100 years on
8 March @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm| £5
Our experience of ‘Lockdown’ during the Covid pandemic is something we could never have imagined…and yet when we look back at those ‘enemy aliens’ just over 100 years ago there are elements of our experiences and coping mechanisms over the last year to which many of them may well have been able to relate.
Telling the very human stories behind just some of the Knockaloe Charitable Trust’s collections of artefacts and ephemera acquired, donated or shared with the Trust, Trustee ALISON JONES looks at the experiences of the internees and their families for this fundraiser event for Rushen Heritage Trust, which the Trustees at the Centre for WW1 Internment are delighted to support.
This is part of Rushen Heritage Trust’s season of talks at the Erin Arts Centre.
Tickets cost £5 (or £4 for Friends of RHT).
They are available from Calvert Newsagents in Port St Mary, Bridge Bookshop, Erin News and the Erin Arts Centre in Port Erin.
They can also be purchased online via EAC at: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/erinartscentre
